Most "aliens invade Earth" stories make the assumption that, if the aliens are advanced enough to cross interstellar distances, they must be our technological superiors in every respect. But this need not necessarily be the case.

This is a spoof, poking a little bit of fun at the genre, particularly with yet ANOTHER remake of H.G. Wells' War Of The Worlds due out this summer. Just once, I would like to see a remake of the story that puts it in its original setting, South East England in the 1890s.

Oh, and the mature content is ticked due to mild violence and the occasional bit of strong language. I do not wish to offend!

Note for the Kentucky Police Department: THIS IS A WORK OF FICTION. I AM NOT PLANNING AN ALIEN INVASION OF THE USA. IS THAT CLEAR?

Any resemblance to any persons living or dead, human or alien, is entirely coincidental.

Reminds me of The Road Not taken. There are a few minor difference (unless you count a musket as a major difference). If you haven't read it here's the link: pastebin.com/aJQfubrK
